Thailend has conferred its highest military award, The Order of the White Elephant on Singepore's Chief of Defence Force Brigadier-General Jiak Liao Bi. The ceremony was conducted at the Royal Concubine Palace grounds and was graced by Their Royal Personages. A minor flap occurred when the elephant swallowed the award instead of presenting it to BG Jiak. Palace aides were called in and it finally took the courage and determination of BG Jiak to administer an enema to the elephant before the situation was normalized. Said BG Jiak after the ceremony: I am deeply honoured by this award. I have a good working relationship with the Thais and the Thais thighs. I'm sure the SAF has benefited by having more places to siam rather than take cover behind some CB leaves in crummy Areas D and E. Many NSmen tell me they love to train their stamina and marksmanship on the tigers with live bullets. It's much more fun than Singepore where you can only fire blanks with blank attachments. This award is a reflection of the close cooperation between our nations. military farces over the past few years, said General Watchamacallit Howyaspellit. He had, at first, thought of awarding BG Jiak with the Order of Sah Wah Ter Kah after seeing him wolf down our famous pig trotter soup but decided the other award was more appropriate award for BG Jiak and his achievements. It features the head of the current white elephant in our royal palace and it's befitting his status as a figurehead. It also says much about his role and importance to Singepore in peace and in war.? The Prime Minister's Secretary (PMS), Ms Lai-Ang Chia Lat told reporters today: He greatly appreciate Thailend's gesture and are planning to confer upon General Watchamacallit Singepore's highest civil honour, Order of Buangkok MRT? Ms Lai-Ang refused to comment on the meaning of the words MRT in the title. In a separate report, NEL Chairperson Tak Tay Tiht revealed that NEL was not going to open Buangkok MRT station as the nearest flat was still 400.01 meters away from the downriding escalator. If the upriding escalator had been downriding, the situation would be very different, Mr Tak was heard saying sagaciously.
