1 Cor 13:13 says 3 things will last forever, i.e. Faith & Hope & Love. I think faith and hope is very important now..

When u all face such an "Oh man!!" situation from parents.. You'll do your best to convince them, they say "No!" Spiteful words flow like the rain this few days.. free one.. no need to save. Some parents will want to burn ur bible. Whats wrong? Do they believe that akin to burning incense paper, the bible will reach the yin jian? Maybe should tell them that Jesus saves only those living on earth.. besides, where got such crap!?

Others spare you some dignity, saying "You need the time to study! This year is your A's/ O's. I dont want to see you in church anymore!" Maybe u can ask them, I have the answer to the toughest question on Earth. What is the meaning of life? They reply, "?!?!!?"
"Nvm, the answer is from God.. even my school cant teach me this.. all the more I need to go church to learn the really tough and intellectual stuff."

Yet others are traumatised by NKF incident, saying, "The Church is leeching our/your hard-earned money. Why not ask them to give u pocket money?" Jesus gave a good answer, ~ Matthew 22:21 " If we pay mandatory taxes to our government, why not do so similarly to God who ask of us voluntarily to give it cheerfully. After all, who but He promises a blessing much greater than what was given? ~ Malachi 3:10

Actually the first 2 was a joke.. i dont think anyone would say this to your parents la.. But lets persevere on, remembering the very first lesson Jesus taught, the Sermon on the Mount. It says, "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake." ~Matthew 5:10-11

Or do you remember the story He said about the widow who never gave up asking?
~ Luke 18:1-8

"As a man think, so is he."~ Proverbs 23:7

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.

So dont be afraid of saying what you really feel or want to your parents k?

The tougher the persecution & the more you suffer, the better you become. People say, "Whatever cannot kill you will make you stronger" Tis the bible version: We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. ~ Romans 5:3-5

And what does God say about his love? That its the criteria for every good and blessing upon your life! All things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. ~Romans 8:28
